R&R starts saturday!

This is Heath's Resort. This is also where we will be staying for 8 days with my dad, stepmom, brother, and step-brother and sister!!! It's located on the Whitefish chain up north. We are really looking forward to it and can't wait to celebrate the 4th of July there! This resort has a great beach, playground and cabins. It will be so nice for the kids to play together and for all of us to spend quality time together. We will also be doing plenty of boating!

i am 2!

Emmett turned two on Wednesday! It was a jungle-like temperature of 94. Yep. Hot. Most of the day was spent indoors. We decided not to have a full blown birthday party this year. However, we did have  immediate family over for cake, ice cream, and yard games. I think Emmett really enjoyed himself!

Do any of you have this app on your phone? It is so fun! It allows you to make collages with your pictures and add fun effects at the same time. Love! I'm sure this app has been around for awhile, but I am a newbie to it. Super fun and only $.99! Here is my first collage:

 Cool, huh? Tons of different layouts, filters, frames, customizing, etc.! Expect to see plenty more.

Now for the captions. Friday night we hung out as a family in Stillwater. We went to the teddy bear playground, walked along the St. Croix, got ice cream, the usual. This time the boardwalk was flooded. The kids embraced it.

On Saturday we went to Little Falls for a family reunion. This year it was held at my aunt Linda's farm. We had a really nice time. It was so fun visiting with relatives and watching the kids explore. Linda has dogs, cats, cows and horses on their farm. Ethnie was in heaven among the animals and Emmett was in love with the tractors. Matt and a bunch of the guys went shooting for awhile and he enjoyed that.
Ethnie's highlight of the day was riding a horse. She and I rode a mare bareback! It was a first for me as well. She also got to brush and walk the horse. She was really proud of herself. She also really enjoyed playing with the kittens in the barn. They were absolutely adorable and tiny. I really wanted to take one home...
