Our Summer

Our summer has been pretty enjoyable. The weather has been amazing so we have spent a lot of time outside going to the beach, parks, grilling with friends, and taking walks. Ethnie loves watching the birds, squirrels, and bugs.
We were able to attend two weddings up north. It's always fun going to a wedding and seeing good friends. We've taken Ethnie to Como park a number of times and she can't get enough of the train ride. She also had her first experience camping, which she LOVED! Watching the fire and holding the flashlight were the coolest things in the world to her. She went on two sleepovers with grandparents! Matt's parents took her to a barn dance and the North St. Paul car show, and Nana took her out for lunch and to the park.
Our last summer event, and yearly tradition, was the State Fair. The Midway, barns, and eating are our favorite activities. Matt and I also love the haunted house. It's always a blast going to the Great MN Get-together.
Now on to Labor Day weekend ....

The Great Minnesota Get-together

We went to the State Fair Thursday. We went with our new friends Katie and Reuben and had a really great time. Of course, we ate too much; we had pronto pups, cheese curds, pork chops, and the infamous Sweet Martha's cookies. Ethnie had a really great time and LOVED watching the rides and people.
